I agree, there is procedure, but what is taking so long in such clear issue?

As rightly said by my friend Prasad, why are we feeding a terrorist....why are we encouraging more n more terrorist acts by doing so??? Is our law so dumb and deaf that it can't see beyond the obvious or is it acting as if nothing happened at all.....so where are these politicians who do rounds for their votes, where is the media who raises it's voice for some petty issues??? Who will ask these questions n why ask questions, rather why is it that such discussions are making rounds through news channels, newspapers, mails, blogs, etc.?? WHY??????? THINK.....

Yes he needs to be punished and like you said probably hanged to death. And yes it is taking way too long. And from whatever has been happening in court we can all but see that he has no remorse for what he did which is reason more so to punish him so that others can see that we will not tolerate terrorist activities.
So why is it taking or should it take so long right? I am not trying to justify the delay but just looking at it in a different view.
We all are very well aware how slowly our judicial system works. Yes in this case exception should have been made. But take into consideration the fact that no lawyer was ready to take up his case...more so because of the backlash from people than it being a difficult one. So are we to blame the lawyer community or ourselves for this delay? Again the debate might come to the fore as to do we really need this case to take the judicial way? In my opinion yes we do...if we call ourselves a democratic sovereign we need to. Coz like I said what difference between our neighbour and us if we don’t?
Also, consider this...we have one terrorist caught alive with ample proof to prove his guilt, ample proof to show where n how it was all planned. If you look at it there is more to the trial than meets the eye. Do we know what his interrogations have revealed or are still revealing about our tainted neighbour? There is more to it than what is being made public. Do you really think the police will be a happy lot keeping him alive and feeding him everyday especially after what he has done? Wouldn’t they be more than happy to just shoot him and put to blame on something else?
All said and done I don’t deny that what is needed is a speedy trail which is not what is happening and something needs to be done about it for sure to ensure it does not go the way the bombay blast trials or godra trials have gone.
